We have recently completed a sizable extension to our property and Simon has undertaken extensive work on the interior woodwork and has also completed work on the exterior guttering. The interior woodwork is all exposed oak skirting, architraves and doors which has required a high degree of skill to ensure that the joints are
butted closely together and no gaps or misalignments are evident. Simon has managed to do this consistently to a very high standard. Simon has proven to be a reliable, hardworking and good natured craftsman who has always arrived when he said he would and has always been willing to help out in any way he could to assist us in completing the project.

I have employed Mr Simon Mullord on 3 separate occasions to undertake general carpentry work at my home. The first and most important point to make is the quality of his finished work is exemplary. In some 15 years of home ownership, regularly employing tradesmen of all specialisations, I have not encountered such consistent high quality before. Furthermore, Mr Simon Mullord's services include trade support and advice. He was integral to the design process for a large built in wardrobe I was considering. Unsure about the final design, Simons experience, knowledge and general patience proved essential to my choices. The task was completed on-time, within budget and to his normal high standards. In addition, Simon displays ingenuity. Having fitted a garden gate to my exact (and somewhat demanding) specifications, he used the services of a local engineering company to manufacture a bespoke component to fix the second-hand lock I was keen to use. This was done quickly, efficiently and at minimal cost to myself. He also personally rectified the arrangement of a complex sliding door mechanism that had been incorrectly fitted by a previous tradesman. Neither ofthese tasks were specific to carpentry - he appears a versatile tradesman with skills beyond his personal specialisation.
In my experience, Mr Simon Mullord has always been reliable, organised and easy to deal with. He estimates his tasks with accuracy and I have had no experience of any hidden costs. In fact, conversely, Simon comes across as a character of the utmost integrity. He has an extremely friendly, outgoing personality evidenced by the interest that my normally shy children took in his work!

During a significant house renovation project we needed a carpenter, and Simon Mullord was recommended to us by a friend. He initially came to build some bookcases. Based on a couple of sketches and some pictures ripped out of magazines, Simon built the most fantastic, original and elegant bookcases and storage walls. Simon took the time to listen to what we wanted and discuss ideas. He made helpful suggestions, had ideas about materials and his experience shone through when discussing the actual construction of the units. He takes great pride in his work and his accuracy is spot on. Having seen the quality of his work, we then asked him to build fitted wardrobes, shelves and a wonderful window seat with cupboards underneath.
By now, Simon had become a member of the renovation team, so we asked him to do all the structural wood work and timbers for the roof of a triple garage (with a dormer). Simon completed all the timber work on the garage, to an incredibly high standard.
Simon is totally trustworthy, creative and reliable. If he has questions, then he asks .... If he has ideas, then he suggests ... To top it all, Simon is a wonderfully, cheerful, pleasant and tidy guy to have around. I would unreservedly recommend him as a carpenter for both structural and fine work, for jobs large or small.
